Stephen Ross Annual Adopt-a-Barrel Dinner April 17, 2010 Accommodations Ideas For a complete
listing of San
Luis Obispo area lodging, visit the Chamber of Commerce website: http://visitslo.com/cm/Lodging/Home.html Below are
hotel/motel options that I think have something to offer, whether it is
proximity, ocean views, value or a little of all.
Courtyard by
Marriott Rates $189 - $229 on their website. Might be able to get better rate.
Very close to the winery, but not
walkable. New-ish and nice property.
Perhaps five miles from downtown. Shore Cliff
Lodge, Pismo Beach Rates are $209 ? 215. Views of the ocean are spectacular and rooms are quite nice. Very close to Hwy 101 for easy access, but you don?t really hear the highway, as the rooms open to the ocean. Rose Garden Inn Rates are $99 to $109, plus tax. This is across the street from Marriott Courtyard, but a step down in price and amenities. I haven?t checked out this property personally, but it is close to the winery.
La Cuesta Inn Rates $89 to $199. Close to SLO downtown. The rooms are nice and clean and I have
always found the service to be very nice.
If you want to knock around SLO-town, this is a good place
to stay. If you open your sliding glass
doors, you
definitely hear the highway. Free
continental
breakfast. The Cliffs
Resort Rates are $219 and up.
This is a lovely place, with great views and access to the
ocean. You do pay for it, but it is very
nice, has a
workout room, restaurant, etc. It is
close to Hwy 101, but you don?t hear it. The Sea
Venture This hotel is right on the sand in Pismo Beach. Romantic, great views, good restaurant. Rates $159 and up. |
