Perhaps five miles from downtown. Shore Cliff Lodge 2555 Price Street Pismo Beach, CA 93449 (805) 773-4671 Views of the ocean are spectacular and rooms are quite nice. Very close to Hwy 101 for easy access, but you don’t really hear the highway, as the rooms open to the ocean. Rose Garden Inn 1585 Calle Joaquin San Luis Obispo, CA 93405 (805)544-5300 For the bargain hunter! This is across the street from Marriott Courtyard, but a step down in price and amenities. I haven’t checked out this property personally, but it is close to the winery. La Cuesta Inn 2074 Monterey Street San Luis Obispo, CA 93401 Moderate rates. Close to SLO downtown. The rooms are nice and clean and I have always found the service to be very nice. If you want to knock around SLO-town, this is a good place to stay. If you open your sliding glass doors, you definitely hear the highway. The Cliffs Resort 2757 Shell Beach Road Shell Beach, CA 93449 (805) 773-5000 Top End. This is a lovely place, with great views and access to the ocean. You do pay for it, but it is very nice, has a workout room, restaurant, etc. It is close to Hwy 101, but you don’t hear it. The Sea Venture 100 Ocean View Ave. Pismo Beach, CA 93449 (805) 773-4994 This hotel is right on the sand in Pismo Beach. Romantic, great views, good restaurant. |
