2016 Pinot Noir, Edna Valley Estate
(12% whole clusters and 25% new French oak) Limpid ruby-red. Fresh red berry, cherry, succulent herbs and a hint of rose oil on the pungent nose. Bitter cherry, raspberry, and floral pastille flavors unfold slowly while picking up allspice and licorice accents. Shows good depth and gentle grip on a sweet, clinging finish that features smooth tannins and a touvh of the cola.
