Potent yet fresh aromas cruise from black cherry to cola to vanilla on the classically layered nose of this single-vineyard expression. The palate pairs a lush mouthfeel with tense tannic depth, as flavors of rhubarb pie, star anise, and crushed river stone slide into the finish of the wine. —M.K.

A beautiful, semi-translucent Pinot Noir from a great site in the Edna Valley, the 2023 Pinot Noir Stone Corral Vineyard offers up red plums, darker cherries, dried herbs, and some smoky, earthy nuances on the nose. It's medium-bodied, with a pure, layered mouthfeel, beautiful tannins, and a good finish. It spent 16 months in
35% new French oak, and it has plenty to love. I suspect it will have a good decade of overall longevity. Drink 2026-2036.
